Brighton Community Update: October 21-31, 2026
The leaves are turning, and Brighton is ready for Halloween! Since moving to the Brighton and South Lyon area, I've loved how much this community packs into the end of October. Here's what's happening.

Brighton Farmers Market, Saturdays, Oct. 24 and 31, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., municipal lot at 200 N. First St. On Oct. 24, SELCRA's Halloween at the Market brings trick-or-treating at vendor booths and a potion-making station.
Free Community Shred Day, Saturday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until the trucks are full), LOC Credit Union, 1025 E. Grand River Ave. Bring up to three boxes or bags of paper per vehicle (no electronics), and remove staples and paper clips. They're also collecting canned goods for Bountiful Harvest. It's a great chance to clear out old files before the holidays!
