Fenton & Linden Community Update: October 21-31, 2026

After 20+ years in Fenton, Halloween week here still never disappoints. Here's what's happening in Fenton and Linden.

Events

An Event So Good... It's Scary!, Friday, Oct. 30, 1 to 5 p.m. The Fenton & Linden Regional Chamber's free community trick-or-treat. Kids can visit "Boo Booths" at the Fenton Community & Cultural Center (150 S. Leroy St.) and participating businesses in downtown Fenton, along Owen Road, Silver Lake Road, North Leroy, and Torrey Road, and in downtown Linden. Some businesses may close at their regular hours, so go early.

This weekend, Oct. 23-25, there are two great shows:

  • The War of the Worlds at Fenton High School's Ruby F. Zima Auditorium. The Fenton Community Orchestra and Wishing Well Theatre present an original take on the classic.
  • Popcorn Falls at the Fenton Village Playhouse (14197 Torrey Rd.). Fenton Village Players stage this over-the-top comedy in which two actors play more than 20 roles. Tickets are $10 at FentonTheatre.org.

Zombies, Scarecrows and Monsters, Oct. 23-24, Eagle's Wooden Park in downtown Linden. A Trick-or-Treat Trail for the little ones, plus a Scare Trail that's not recommended for kids under 10.

The Howling Haunted Trail, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24, 7 to 11 p.m., 13575 N. Fenton Rd. A mile-long woods trail benefiting Adopt-A-Pet. Not recommended for children or anyone who scares easily!

  • Ghosts in Action: STEAM Halloween Kids Night Out, Saturday, Oct. 24, 6 to 8 p.m., grades K-5. Haunted house design, pumpkin catapults, and glow slime. $40 for residents, $50 for non-residents.
